Dr. Agni Orfanoudaki is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at Oxford’s Saïd Business School and a Fellow of Exeter College. She earned her PhD in Operations Research at MIT, where she trained under leading scholars in optimization and machine learning, and began her career as a business analyst at McKinsey & Company.

She is a recognized expert in machine learning and operations research applied to healthcare. At Oxford, she leads the Data-Driven Decisions Lab (3DL), developing analytics to optimize hospital operations, improve patient care, and strengthen risk management.

In 2025, Agni co-authoredThe Analytics Edge in Healthcare” with Dimitris Bertsimas (MIT Sloan) and Holly Wiberg (Carnegie Mellon University), a book that equips clinicians and policymakers with practical tools to harness data for better outcomes.

Celebrated among the Poets & Quants “Best 40 Under 40 MBA Professors,” she continues to demonstrate how rigorous analytics can directly transform healthcare systems, making them more efficient, equitable, and life-saving
