Interview with Debangan Dey: All That Environmental Science Needs Is Digital Health
Debangan Dey is a postdoctoral fellow in the Genetic Epidemiology Research Branch of the National Institutes of Mental Health in the lab of Dr. Kathleen Merikangas, working on digital health technologies (DHT). In the near future, he will assume an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University. He is leading the data science core of the mMarch consortium, where he investigates scientific questions at the intersection of physical activity, mental health, and various biochemical processes. His research interests include modeling mixed intensive longitudinal data and highly multivariate spatial data, with applications in wearables, ecological momentary assessments, environmental sciences, and sports analytics. The goal of today's discussion is to explore how digital health can transform environmental science and One Health research.
